Application of Partial Derivative 

1. Center of conic sections Partial Derivative


Steps:
  1. Find partial derivative of given function w.r.t. x taking rest of variable except x assuming constant.
  2. equation partial derivative of the given function as zero(0), you will get x co-ordinate of the center of  conic section.
  3. similarly, find partial derivative of functions w.r.t. y taking rest of variable as constant and equate this to 0 to get y co-ordinate of the center of conic.

2. Vertex of parabola using Partial derivative

Steps:
  1. Find partial derivative of given function w.r.t. that variable having highest degree (2).
  2. Equating the answer of partial derivative, you will get x or y co-ordinate of vertex.
  3. Put the value you found in the equation to get another variable.
  4. Finally, You will get requited point.
